rain is mingling
shifting perspectives
snatched between drops
yanked of you
thrown into you
I feel foreign
without preparation
without defense
without lobby door or entrance
propelled I change from loud to quiet

the rain holds on to you
a shower of silvery gray
for the rest everything is slippery
no crying no laughing no dancing
you suck and swallow everything
even yourself
beneath

propelled I don't speak a word
I read
you
a huge pool of undulating light
chafing winds keep the temperature low
the sun seems helpless
I catch a few beams before it withdraws again
ice most have formed here times ago
morning in an early evening shadow
I bend my head
I close my eyes
slitting you
still searching for the address that matches mine
